The past few months have been brilliant for me art wise, mainly due to dozens of different influences in the art world. These include WordPress, for it’s artistic blogging communities, artist legends such as Feng Zhu and Noah Bradley and even the old masters such as Turner and Peder Balke.
However, I would like to share with you my growing love for these magazines – Imagine FX. They are brilliant for not only concept or digital artists, but traditional as well for their wide information on many different topics. For me, they are a great help and full of inspiration when aspiring to go on into the concept art industry, and I encourage any lovers of art to give them a read!
I very rarely enjoy printing – mainly due to the fact that it can be a lot of effort for, usually, a small reward as a piece. However, I recently tried once again, and created a print of a fish! This was done by etching into acrylic plastic to create the line work of the drawing and then rubbing ink into the grooves and scratches made. I then took the excess ink off the plastic, leaving ink in the etched marks, which was therefore used to print onto paper. Any smudges of ink not taken off then made a nice effect around the print. Hope you like it and Merry Christmas! 🙂
After a long time of no doodling designs at all… christmas has come along and presents from myself have been set! I have just finished this piece, which is a phone case design for my sister as a present, inspired by her love of elephants and her recent 9 month long trip around Asia. Hopefully, she will love it and I hope you do too!

This was one of my Sincy Sketches orders a few months ago from my friend, Will. After some time of doodling to fit the custom design on Photoshop that he wanted, here is the final result when it is finally printed on to a case! 🙂 If you are interested in getting one, visit: https://m.facebook.com/SincySketches?refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FSincySketches
If you have been following my blog, you would know that doodling is one of my favourite hobbies. So, a few months ago, around the time I started my Sincy Sketches page, I doodled all over my schoolbag with a sharpie! It was a lot of fun, and I tried to get across my character, shown by the guitars, the band I’m in and a load of other stuff. After a couple hours of constant patterns and cartoons, this is the result!
Here is my doodle page on Facebook, where you can buy unique, phone case doodle designs! :
I have just finished this vibrant piece, of yet another crab, and yet another marine life themed painting! It was a lot of fun to paint, as acrylic is one of my favourite medias and although it took a while, it was a great challenge to include a high level of detail. 🙂
Carrying on once again with the marine life theme, (and the crustacean theme) here’s a lobster! It is just a simple 4b pencil tonal drawing, but I am pretty happy with it 🙂 (sorry about the shadow though!)
